My name is Janine (J9 for short). I'm a mixed media and digital artist located in my lifelong home of Minnesota. I create nature-inspired artwork; botanical and animal illustrations, landscapes, and painterly still lifes, along with thoughtfully designed note cards and stationery. My work is rooted in color, texture, and atmosphere, bringing a calm and intentional sense of place to modern homes.

Each piece begins with something quiet - a leaf’s curve, a shifting shadow, a moment of morning light. From there, layers of color and movement build into artwork that feels grounding, timeless, and emotionally warm.
